Спектакль ставится с использованием двух сценических планов:
  1. На сцене работают актеры-кукловоды
  2. Около авансцены располагаются актеры-чтецы

How the Puppy Lost His Tail


Играет музыка, на сцене стоят игрушки

Author: This is a tale about a little puppy. His name is Friend. He is very nice. His ears are long and funny. His eyes are big and black. His nose is very small. And he has got a nice fluffy tail. Friend-the-Puppy likes to play hide-and-seek very much. And every morning after having breakfast he invites his friends to play with him. (Выходят актеры и берут игрушки, животные играют на полянке)Today all the animals ( Mursik-the-Kitten ,Kesha-the-Donkey , Kuzya-the-Giraffe, Duckling-the-Duck, Stepa-the-Rabbit) are already on their favourite forest-glade. They are standing and counting themselves. (Начинают считать друг-другу, затем прячутся)

Everything goes as usually. Kesha-the-Donkey is a leader. He closes his eyes and the other animals find the places where to hide. Kesha-the-Donkey begins to look for them. ( Под музыку заглядывает под цветы и ищет друзей) He peeps behind the red flower, peeps behind the blue flower, peeps behind the yellow one. The Kitten was found at once. He was behind the red flower. The duckling was behind the blue one. The rabbit was behind the yellow flower.

But Kesha can't find the Puppy. Friend is at the biggest flower. He jumps out and says:

Puppy: Here I am! I am a winner!'

Duckling and rabbit: (удивленно смотрят на щенка) Where is your tail?

Author: The animals look at him and see that he hasn't got a tail.

The Puppy is really without a tail. He looks at himself from the left side, from the right side. There is no tail. The Puppy is sitting and crying now.

He looks at the animals and says:

Puppy: You won't play with me any more. I am not nice now.

Kitten: Don't worry. It doesn't matter for us!

Donkey: Never mind! We'll find it! We'll look for it all together.

Author: And the animals are looking for the Puppy's tail. (звучит музыка; все ходят и ищут хвостик; выходит жираф)

The Little Giraffe was busy in the morning. And he is going to the glade now. He is surprised.

Giraffe: There is nobody on our glade! Where is the Donkey? Where is the Puppy? Where is the Kitten? Where is the Duckling? Where is the rabbit? Where are they?

Author: And he peeps behind a big daisy and sees a tail.

Giraffe: Whose tail is this, I wonder? What a beautiful tail it is! I think it suits me very well. I haven’t got a tail. I mean my tail is too short that one can't see it.

Author: He sticks it to his back and begins dancing and singing.(жираф танцует)

The Puppy sees the Giraffe and stops not far from him. Other animals come up, too. Suddenly the Giraffe notices the friends around him. ( На полянку выходят все звери) He stops singing:

Duckling: Hello, Kuzya! What are you doing?

Giraffe: It's nice, isn't it?

Puppy: Oh! It's my tail. Yes, it's mine!

Donkey: That's right! It's the Puppy's tail; he lost it when we were playing hide-and-seek.

Author: The Giraffe is very sad.

Giraffe: It means I won’t be so nice. Please, take your tail, Friend.

Author: The Puppy feels sorry for the poor Giraffe. He begins to think. At last he says:

Puppy: Let's wear it in turns.

Giraffe: No, thank you, I don't want you to stay without your tail for some days, because you need it. You can't even say 'Hello!' without the tail.

Author: The animals feel sorry for the friends.

Puppy: I present you my tail.

Giraffe: No, thanks, it's yours.

Puppy: Then I present you these flowers.

Author: says the Puppy, picks up a beautiful daisy and gives it to the Giraffe. (Дарит цветок)

Giraffe: Thank you very much! It's very nice! And you are nice too, and your tail is nice! Take this red flower as a present, please. (Тоже дарит цветок)

Kitten: You are both nice! Let's make presents to each other and we'll be very nice, too.

Duckling: It's very good to make presents.

Donkey: And it doesn't matter if you have got a tail or not. But I know if you have friends you are happy and if you are happy you are very nice!

Rabbit: We are happy together!

(все радостно танцуют и поют песню, ставят игрушки и уходят)


The Moon and the Puppy


звучит музыка, щенок воет на луну

Author: Friend-the-Puppy likes to look at the Moon in the evenings. He usually sits on the forest-glade and sings his song. If we can call it so. It is not a nice song. But he likes singing very much. He sings for the Moon. Look! And now he is sitting and waiting for the Moon. Suddenly Kesha-the Donkey sees the Puppy and comes up to him.

Donkey: Friend, are you going to sing again?

Puppy: Yes, the Moon likes it very much!

Donkey: But I think she doesn't like your singing. I think so, because the Moon is getting smaller and smaller.

Author: The puppy is offended.

Puppy: She doesn't become smaller. She smiles.

Donkey: I disagree. It is smaller than it was yesterday. She has lost one side.

Puppy: No! Look! She is smiling!

Donkey: Let's wait

Puppy: O.K. Let's wait and look.

Author: And they are sitting and looking at the dark sky. (Играет тихая музыка) Mursik-the-Kitten sees them and comes up to ask what they are doing.

Kitten: Why are you sitting here?

Donkey: We are waiting for the Moon, we want to know if she is full or if one side has been lost.

Kitten: I'd like to know that, too.

Author: The Giraffe, the Duckling and others hear the noise and want to know what's the matter. They would like to watch the Moon too. The Moon appears. ( Звук появляющейся луны)

Все: 'Tss-ss'

Author: The Moon is as narrow as a ribbon. It's beautiful, but it is too small.

Donkey: Look! You have done that!' She is so sad that she becomes very small!' 'Why do you think she likes your singing, I wonder!

Author: Friend-the Puppy is very sorry. He is crying.

Puppy: But she likes how I sing, I am sure.

Giraffe: Listen to me, we must do something. The Moon must become as big as she was. Let's dance for her.

Author: The animals stand in the round, take their friends' paws and begin dancing. ( Звучит музыка и звери начинают танцевать) But the moon doesn't want to grow up.

Duckling: May be she doesn't see us. She is too far from our glаde.

Rabbit: But we know that she can hear us. Let's dance and sing all together.

Author: He begins singing and all the friends help him. (Поют песню)

Kitten: Let's sing louder, Sing, everyone!

Author: The animals are dancing and singing. But they can see only a big black cloud now.

Kitten: What a pity! How shall we see the Moon?

Duckling: We can't see it at all!

Giraffe: I think it's time to come back home and go to bed. But tomorrow let's go on."(актеры ставят игрушки и печально стоят за ними)

Author: All the animals are very sad, but they must go home. And next evening (берут игрушки опять и начинают танцевать) they come to the forest-glade again and dance and sing their songs. The Moon appears. She is big and round. Everybody is very happy. (все радостно поют и танцуют)
